Occasionally, you come across some equipment in aircraft that's unfamiliar to you. Especially some of the legacy navigation equipment that still works!
We've been around General Aviation for quite a few years, and have seen different equipment come and go. Consequently, we're pretty familiar with most of it!
But some of the modern equipment is also a little daunting - and many pilots fail to make the best use of it as a result. One of the biggest pilot "misdemeanours" in our opinion is the lack of understanding of the use of squelch.
